No matter how hard men try to conceal their true intentions they do let out a few signals that tell you what they are up to. If you feel that you are not sure if your guy really likes you and is being only courteous, look out for these signs.
Wants to know you as a person
If he is being courteous he will not dig deeper for information about you and will be satisfied with the superficial info that he gets from you and your friends. However, if you find that he wants to know more and more about you then he surely likes you and wants to do his homework well.
Wants the acquaintance to morph into something more personal
If you find that the casual acquaintance does not satisfy him and he wants to come closer than you actually are then there is something more than meets the eye. However, don't jump the gun just yet as he may want you as a friend.
Small conversations get dragged on
You will notice that small conversations invariably get stretched for longer periods. Well, he likes you. If he didn't then he would not stick to you like this and like a true gentleman excuse himself after sometime.
Voluntarily helps you
A who is just being courteous will not go out of his way to solve your problems. If he does then he sees you as someone special. He is trying to impress you so that the two of you become a couple.
Gets occasionally physical
A guy who is just courteous will not try to touch you or get physically close to you. If you feel that the guy shakes your hand a millisecond longer than usual then he definitely has an agenda.
Puts his best foot forward
He will make sure that he is well dressed and up to date whenever you are going to be around. A person interested in you will do all this and more. A courteous guy will not bother about being tidy and up to date in your presence as he has nothing to gain.
Weans you away from the group
A person who likes you will try to take you aside and confide something in you. It is his ploy to take you away from the crowd and spend some precious moments with you. He wants to spend some alone time with you as he is interested. A courteous guy will not do all this.
